Most facial fillers are not permanent. For someone looking to add permanent volume and lift to the face, traditional facial fillers may not cut it. Renuva is a new injectable treatment which transfers small amounts of donor fat to the treatment area. The donor fat at the injection site works with your own tissue to restore the look of wrinkles, scars, skin texture, and overall skin appearance.

Renuva is injected into the treatment area, and almost immediately after patients report seeing fuller, smoother and younger-looking skin. Around three months after the initial injections, patients see the full results of Renuva®. It is a quick procedure which can take anywhere between a half hour and an hour.

As with any injectable, the potential side effects are minor and not very common. Some side effects to look for are redness, swelling, an allergic reaction, and infection at the injection site.
